WIMMERA Machinery Field Days president IAN SCHMIDT extends a warm welcome to the event
I would like to welcome everyone to our 48th annual field days.
With the site filled to near capacity, Murray and the staff have been working hard to juggle exhibitors into a site suited to the nature of their business.
The field days committee appreciates the continued support of our exhibitors and sponsors and we thank them for their efforts.
I recognise the difficulties that volunteer organisation groups face each year gaining people to donate their time and I would like to thank the numerous community groups that support our event.
It is pleasing to see that the Wimmera region's economy will again benefit from the field days event with all local accommodation and eateries thriving with the increased business that surrounds this event each year.
I appreciate the tireless commitment the WMFD committee dedicates to this event each year.
I thank the field days committee members for contributing their time to provide a spectacular event for our broader region.
It is also good to see the site being used for other events. One of particular interest for farmers is the VFF Grains Conference being held here this year at the end of March.
I hope that farmers come and support the VFF as they continue dealing with issues in our industry, as farmers united will achieve far more than individuals.
On behalf of the field days committee and staff, I hope everyone has a great three days and enjoys a chat and catch-up with old and new acquaintances and a safe trip home.
