BENDIGO District Cricket Association recovered from some shaky preliminary round results to claim its second Country Week cricket title in four years.
A stellar batting performance laid the foundation for Bendigo's win in the provincial division final, played at Melbourne's Albert Ground last week.

Bendigo won the toss and elected to bat against Kyabram, with opening pair Matt Kile and Matt Fitt adding 64 runs for the first wicket.
Ben Gunn (83 runs off 88 balls) and man-of-the-match Darren Petersen (77 off 49) helped Bendigo to an imposing total of 7-295. In reply, Kyabram raced to 107 without loss, before slumping to 4-146 after 30 overs and 7-212 in the 41st over.
Kyabram was eventually dismissed for 248 in the 48th over, handing Bendigo a 47-run win.
Traralgon and District Cricket Association took top honours in division two, defeating Bairnsdale by 11 runs in the final.
Traralgon dedicated its win to long-time local cricket administrator Alan Daniels, who died last year. The team will step up to the provincial division next year.
In division three, South West Cricket Association beat Wangaratta, while Seymour won over Horsham in division four.
