HYUNDAI is on a roll, this time with the ix35, a replacement for the Tucson.
There are three models - the 2.0-litre petrol front-wheel-drive Active at $26,990 manual (six-speed auto $28,990); the 2.4-litre all-wheel drive auto Elite at $31,990 (2.0-litre diesel auto $34,990); and the diesel auto Highlander at $37,990.
Standard equipment includes stability control, six airbags, cruise control, electric driver's seats, up and down hill assist and a cargo cover.
The Elite adds keyless start, leather-cloth seats, roof rails, fog lights and a luggage net and the Highalnder adds a rear camera, dual zone climate control, a sunroof, leather trim and 18-inch alloy wheels.
The ix35 gains is 85mm longer, 25mm wider and 70mm lower than the Tucson.
