REGIONAL Infrastructure has emerged as the new owner and operator of the soon-to-be relocated Ballarat saleyards.
The saleyards relocation process ground to a halt 18 months ago as potential future operators demanded to have an approved site to relocate the yards to before signing on.
The approved site is expected to be named in the coming week.
The new facility will be called the Central Victorian Livestock Exchange and the fifth such complex in Regional Infrastructure's port folio.
