UNIVERSITY of Melbourne veterinary students headed to Glenormiston College last month for the hands-on part of their studies.
The 60 students, studying the Veterinarian Animal Handling Course, had a detailed look at the agriculture and the equine industry while staying at the college in Victoria's south west.It was the first time South West TAFE had provided the course in partnership with Melbourne University.
The training covered a range of topics including animal welfare, occupational health and safety, cattle handling, sheep handling, horse handling and pig handling.
