UK DAIRY farmers will start to receive their share of about $43 million from an EU Dairy Fund next month.
Dairy farmers who produce more than 50,000 litres a year will receive an additional 3.2c per litre for milk produced from October 2008 to September last year.
The fund was set up to help farmers who had been severely affected by changes in demand and prices.
COUNTRY Victorians are being asked to dig deep for this year's Good Friday Appeal. Last year, regional and rural towns raised $2.8 million for the Royal Children's Hospital.
A donation envelope will be included in next week's The Weekly Times.
