CRISPY jonathans and juicy royal galas, fresh from the tree, were munched and crunched by a throng of apple lovers at the Harcourt Applefest on the weekend.
More than a thousand people flocked to the central Victorian town for its annual festival which celebrates local apple growers and their 150-year-old industry.
Growers are also celebrating the best rain they've had in a decade.
"Certainly for apples, the timing has been really good. The more moisture you have in the air, the redder the apple," said local grower Trevor Peeler.
