COULD this be the economic salvation for struggling dairy farmers?
Annette Van Velde, speaking at the recent Australian Dairy Conference in Wollongong, said the latest trend for dairy farmers in Holland was to provide cows for stressed-out city executives to hug.
One farm in Holland involved in farm tourism has been offering companies cow-hugging workshops as relaxation for burnt-out workers.
Each workshop lasts three hours, for which the farmer charges $60 a worker.
Sure beats milking them.
