TALKING about funny names, during an on-farm visit, Back Paddock once asked the farmer what the name of his mutt was.
"That's Forby," the farmer replied.
"Forby"?
"Yes, whenever he does the wrong thing, he gets a piece of 4x2 across the scone."
And then there was an old stockman at Newmarket who had an army of dogs to help him. All of them had the same name: "Come here ya bastard".
