TEN young dressage riders, with 12 horses, have entered the CDI-Y event, part of this year's PSI Dressage and Jumping with the Stars at Werribee Park National Equestrian Centre.
The event is on from March 18-20.
A new addition to the schedule last year when the event attracted only five entries, organisers are pleased with the increase in numbers this year.
Open to young riders aged 16-21 years, they must be qualified by having competed successfully at Prix St Georges in the preceding 18 months.
Excitingly, this event has international status and is a qualifier for the FEI Young Rider World Cup Final in Germany this year.
Only three of the young riders entered this year are from Victoria, with the remainder from NSW (3), Queensland (2) and South Australia (2).
Victorian riders entered are Phoebe Jones from Romsey, Simone Pearce from Bamawm and Emmalee Weston from Yarrambat.
The individual test will be held on Friday morning and the freestyle on Saturday afternoon.
