A LARGE dairy farm in the heart of King Island is for sale.

The 1144ha property, about 15km southeast of Currie, the island's commercial centre, has a carrying capacity of about 1200 cows.
"One of the major attractions is its milk contract to National Foods," Elders national sales manager Shane McIntyre said.
"It's an outstanding contract, which contains many incentives including winter production premiums."
Improvements at Horizon Glen include a five-year-old 50-unit rotary dairy, an original 26-swing over herringbone dairy, a shearing shed, yards and machinery and storage sheds.
The main homestead is a partly renovated seven-bedroom residence.
The property also has three other cottages.
Horizon Glen benefits from about 1000mm of rain a year.
There is a significant number of dams, which provide water to troughs and a centre-pivot irrigator. There are also several creeks and springs.
