HERE'S a great recipe for hot peach chutney, sent in by Kassy O'Kelly of Bairnsdale in Victoria.

HOT PEACH CHUTNEY

  • 1kg peaches, peeled and cut into cubes,
  • 1tspn small, fresh, red chillies chopped
  • 500 ml white vinegar,
  • 500g soft brown sugar
  • 6 cloves garlic
  • 30g peeled and shredded fresh ginger
  • 1 tspn cloves

Put all ingredients in pan and bring to boil, simmer for 45 minutes until thickened. Ladle into hot, sterilised jars, seal and label.
