HERE'S a great recipe for hot peach chutney, sent in by Kassy O'Kelly of Bairnsdale in Victoria.
HOT PEACH CHUTNEY
- 1kg peaches, peeled and cut into cubes,
- 1tspn small, fresh, red chillies chopped
- 500 ml white vinegar,
- 500g soft brown sugar
- 6 cloves garlic
- 30g peeled and shredded fresh ginger
- 1 tspn cloves
Put all ingredients in pan and bring to boil, simmer for 45 minutes until thickened. Ladle into hot, sterilised jars, seal and label.
