THE sale of Neville Peck's Airly farm, near Sale, will put an end to his 50-year dairy farming career.

Neville, a fourth-generation dairy farmer, has a passion for the industry but is selling his farm, Linden View, to scale back and look to semi-retirement.

"It (dairy farming) is in my blood so I just stuck with it," Neville said.

"But I did it as well because I just love it."

Neville and his wife, Beryl, purchased Linden View 20 years ago and the property has been well maintained during their tenure.

They are well known in the district, largely because of their respected Holstein stud, which Linden View is home to.

The property has a carrying capacity of about 300 cows and has a 40-stand rotary dairy in excellent condition.

Neville said 95 per cent of the property had been resown during the past three years.

Linden View is in two titles and is well fenced into 50 paddocks, with a good internal laneway system.

On-farm features include a 20,000-litre vat, a 30-tonne silo, feed system, 400-cow yard with 16,000-litre flood wash cleaning system and vet centre with crush. The property also has a good supply of water with a 366-megalitre water right.

"It's so easy to water," Neville said.

"There are two wheels, which can water the two titles together in three days."

Linden View has a six-bedroom home complete with two bathrooms as well as a second three-bedroom home.

The farm is ready for the new owner to walk into and begin milking straight away.
