CROPLANDS has added two new trailed boom sprays to its range of spraying equipment.
The Pinto 2000 and Pinto 3000 sprayers were unveiled at the Wimmera Machinery Field Days recently and both models have several significant upgrades according to Croplands Australasian sales manager Sean Mulvaney.
"The new sprayers have a variety of features to make spraying more efficient," Sean said.
"We've lifted the flushing tank capacity to 275 litres, so there is plenty of water available for flushing and cleaning out the sprayer.
"And a new control panel makes it much easier for the operator to vary functions such as filtering, flushing and chemical induction.
"The control panel has been re-designed so it's much clearer and easier to understand what is going where on the sprayer."
The Pinto 3000 has a 3000-litre main tank capacity while the Pinto 2000 has a 2000-litre tank capacity.
The 3000 model is available with boom widths of 12, 16, 18, 21 and 24m while the 2000 can be set up with either a 12 or 16m boom.
The Pinto 2000 has the option of being fitted with a 60-litre enclosed mixing unit for chemical induction if required and both Pintos have foam markers as standard equipment.
The boom on the Pinto 2000 is also a new design, which features a powder-coated finish and protected non-drip nozzle bodies.
The boom is hydraulically actuated for folding and unfolding and it has a dual breakaway feature so, if an obstacle is struck, the inner and outer section of the boom breaks away.
Both new sprayers have a parallelogram boom-lift design for smooth height adjustment.
An accumulator is fitted as standard boom suspension on the Pinto 3000 to help minimise the impact of shocks while in use.
Sean said another feature of the sprayers' design was a height adjustable drawbar.
"The adjustable drawbar helps to set up the sprayer in balance with the towing vehicle which makes the spraying more accurate," he said.
The sprayer pumps are power-take-off shaft driven as standard or a hydraulic-drive pump is available as an option.
