DAIRY cattle sales and marketing business Dairy Livestock Services has moved into the property market.
The business, which conducts registered dairy cattle sales throughout Australia has joined with Andrew Gilmour of Gilmour and Co Real Estate at Cobram to form a new business.
Called DLS Rural Property Specialists, the new venture has southeastern South Australia property Carilla Dairy at Tintinara, which milked up to 1800 cows, as one of its first listings.
DLS director Scott Lord said moving into property allowed the business to expand, while Mr Gilmour, who will be the head of sales, said DLS provided the "perfect fit" as there was room for a "niche player" in rural property.
Mr Gilmour said his Cobram business would "feed" the new venture with dairy property listings.
He is also in discussions with a real estate business in the Western District.
