THE first day of the Vermont Angus dispersal at Penshurst saw a cow sell for what is believed to be a record price of $45,000.
Keith Kerridge from Bannaby Angus at Taralga in NSW paid the big money for Vermont Dream B227, as well as another 13 females.
About 400 females were sold on the first day of the two-day Vermont Angus dispersal in the Western District.
Cows and calves averaged $3500, while cows averaged $3300 and embryos averaged $600.
