A FIELD day to help farmers understand the complexities of eradicating lice in sheep will be held at Serpentine tomorrow.
Department of Primary Industries veterinary officer Rachael Holmes said split shearings, poor fencing and chemical resistance were making effective lice control difficult.
Animal health consultant Richard Keys will cover strategic approaches to control, eradicate and prevent lice.
The field day will also include an update on lice-control chemicals, pre-lambing nutrition, weeds and the National Livestock Identification System.
The field day will be held at the Serpentine football oval from 9.45am.
