CLASSIC car enthusiasts will be taking to the road this weekend as three Victorian car clubs proudly parade their prized vehicles.
The state's alpine region will be the backdrop for the latest tour by the Eastern Register of the Jaguar Car Club.
An expected 12 Jaguars, including E-types, Mk I's and modern cars, will leave Bairnsdale and travel over the Great Divide to Omeo, Mt Hotham and Bright.
After two days in Bright, the drivers will head for Flowerdale and Kinglake to show their support for Victoria's bushfire-affected communities.
The final night will be spent in Seymour, then it's back to Bairnsdale via Healesville, Noojee and Warragul.

The Wolseley Car Club will also be out and about this Sunday, with a trip to Old Gippstown, at Moe.
The cars will leave McDonald's at Pakenham at 9.30am and are expected to arrive at Old Gippstown by about 11.15am.
The club was formed in 1975 and today boasts a membership of about 250 people.

The Ballarat Morris Minor Club is celebrating its 30th birthday this weekend with an invitation rally.
The program includes a visit to the local wood workers' guild at the airport, rocker cover races, a trip to Creswick and a tour of historical sites.

Tractor trek
BRING it out of the shed and fire it up: that's the invitation from the organisers of this weekend's Laang Vintage Machinery Rally.
Laang, east of Warrnambool, will play host to a range of stationary engines, vintage cars, trucks and tractors, motorcycles and four-wheel-drives.
The weekend will include a tractor pull, sheep shearing, hay pressing, ferret racing, clay target shooting and a cross-cut saw competition.

Swap meets
THE Lions Club of Wangaratta will host its 11th annual swap meet and collectables market on Sunday at Wangaratta showgrounds.
The swap meet will have 500 sites filled with car, truck and motorcycle parts, memorabilia, manuals, collectables, tools, bric-a-brac and craft.
A show and shine called "Yesterday's Heroes", organised by the Early Holden Car Club, will see 200 cars competing for trophies in 16 categories.
A vintage engine and tractor display will be co-ordinated by the Warby Engine Club and a new event this year will see cars vying for the title of "loudest and best sound".
Gates open at 6am, with breakfast served from 6.30am.
All proceeds benefit the local community and general entry is $5 (children 16 and under free).

The Lancefield Football Netball Club will host its annual car and collectables swap meet on Sunday at Lancefield Park in Chauncey St.
A show and shine on the main oval will include prizes for the best street rod, vintage car, vintage motorcycle, classic cars and motorcycle and best Harley-Davidson.
Show and shine entry costs $5 and swap meet sites $20 (indoor) and $15.
Gates open at 7.30am with a public admission charge of $5.

Bikes' day out
WESTEND Estate Winery, at Griffith West, will be home base this weekend for the 25th annual Anzac Rally of the Griffith Classic Motor Cycle Club.
The program includes rides of varying lengths on both mornings and a presentation dinner at the Yoogali Catholic Club.
Club president and rally co-ordinator Ken Reid said the club was expecting about 160 riders from Victoria, NSW and South Australia.
"This year, we'll even have three bikes that were there at our first rally in 1986," Ken said.
"They are a 1910 Bradbury, owned by a club member at Lavington, a 1938 Rudge and a 1955 Triumph T100, both owned by local members."

Picnic day
THE annual Federation Pakenham Picnic, on this Sunday, is a free family day run by the Dandenong Valley Historic Car Club.
Held at Pakenham racecourse from 10am onwards, the picnic invites owners of veteran, vintage, classic, post-classic and commercial vehicles to bring them along.
There will be a special display area for vehicles 25 years and older.
Other attractions will include displays by restoration trades, crafts, live music and an animal nursery. It's BYO picnic or buy food there.

Cancer Cruise
THE shores of the dry Lake Anderson at Chiltern, in northern Victoria, will be the venue this Sunday for the 11th annual Chiltern Cancer Cruise for cars and motorbikes.
Organised by the Chiltern Tourism Association, the cruise, from 10am to 3pm, raises funds for the Albury-Wodonga Cancer Foundation and honours event founder the late John Jameson.

THE 14th annual Mt Alexander Vintage Engine Club rally will take place at Guildford this weekend.
The feature tractor will be H.V. McKay and the feature display focuses on Sunshine engines and machinery.
Opening hours are 10am to 5pm on Saturday and 10am to 4pm Sunday.
Stallholder sites cost $5, while public entry is $3 for adults and $1 for children.

Race is on
PRE-WAR, classic and post-classic solo motorcycles and sidecars will take to the track at Broadford's State Motorcycle Complex this weekend.
The occasion is this year's Victorian Historic Championships, organised by the Historic Motorcycle Racing Association of Victoria.
Competition classes include vintage (1920-45), Class C (pre-1951), classic (1946-62), post-classic (1963-72), Forgotten Era (1973-80) and sidecars.
