Alan and Helen Polglase bought the property in 1973 and have loved every minute of owning it.

"It's such a good property and we've been enjoying it so much over such a long period of time," Alan said. "I'm 93 years old now.

"Even though we've had a manager, I've always been closely involved (with the running of the property) but because of my advanced years, we have to sell."

Wyerie is a highly productive horticultural property, producing quality grapes and navel oranges.

It currently produces about 7ha of oranges and 26ha of cabernet sauvignon, chardonnay, shiraz and riesling wine grapes, with 7ha of land also ready and available for possible future planting.

Wyerie has a 592-megalitre high security water allocation.

Water is provided by a private diversion from the Murray River.

The property has about 1km of attractive timbered Murray River frontage, which produces a large quantity of firewood.

Helen said the property also had caravan and camping grounds along the river.

The property has a main architect-designed three-bedroom, two-bathroom homestead on site with swimming pool.

There is also an additional four-bedroom manager's residence, a lock-up storage shed or workshop and machinery and chemical sheds.

An extensive horticultural plant and some home furnishings are also available for purchase by negotiation.

Wyerie is 63km north of Swan Hill.
