THE fourth and final portion of Perricoota Station has been sold.

The homestead, on 121ha of land, has been acquired by a Melbourne buyer for an undisclosed figure.

Elders Echuca agent Wayne Eeles said the property had been sold off in parcels because there had been less interest in the property as whole.

Perricoota Station, 20km west of Echuca, first hit the market in early autumn last year but failed to sell.

Three separate parcels of land were sold late last year to local buyers.

The property as a whole (1900ha) was originally expected to fetch more than $7.5 million.

Mr Eeles said selling the property in portions had probably meant a better result for the vendors.
