I COULDN'T help but observe the lack of Christian programming over Easter time when examining the TV guide.

I can remember when Easter had a variety of wonderful shows and movies, which inspired and reminded us of the meaning of Christ's death and sacrifice.

Apart from the ABC and SBS, which have a couple of Easter family celebration themes, and a Jesus movie played by another TV station at 1am on Good Friday, there is little to link us to our annual Easter celebration, which is special to so many.

Alas, a furry white cute little bunny (which has avoided shot gun slugs and myxo over the years) has taken centre stage.

Not to mention a jolly red garbed fat man, from the North Pole at Christmas time.

Is it political correctness, or the dollar which drives this situation?

Bring back our Easter and Christmas shows, TV programmers, which share the true meaning of who and why we celebrate our Christian festivals.
