BELLARINE Peninsula lifestyle property Speers has sold to a Melbourne buyer.

The property, owned by the Browne Family, passed in at auction on April 10 but was sold to a Melbourne-based buyer for $2.35 million this morning after almost two weeks of negotiations.

It follows the $7.05 million sale of the Browne family's historic Spray Farm on Sunday.

Elders Geelong agent Ken Drysdale described the sale of Speers as "outstanding".

"I am absolutely delighted with the sale," he said.

"It's an excellent result for a magnificent piece of real estate that has sold at the full reserve price."

Matthew Browne told The Weekly Times last month the sale of the two properties would help fund his parent’s retirement.
