AN INTERESTING and true account in your editorial "Hard yards by the unsung", (WT, March 24).

It is so very typical of what I have witnessed throughout my life in the rural community.

Many of the same people, over the years, organise events continually - and yes, without much acknowledgment or gratitude.

However, I guess some self-satisfaction is achieved, and the benefit for charity or charities involved, makes it all worthwhile.

Once again, well composed, Miranda.
