TUBBO Station, part of businessman Rodney Price's Four Arrows Group portfolio, has sold for an estimated $40 million-plus.
The 28,170ha Darlington Point, NSW, property was sold to local farming family Les and Gai Douglas, one year after being put on the market.
Tubbo Station boasts 33,520 megalitres of irrigation licenses, has more than 3500ha set up for irrigation and can run 30,000-plus dry sheep equivalent.
Meares and Associates chief executive Chris Meares described it as the "jewel'' of the six Four Arrows Group properties.
Mr Meares said Tubbo Station had sold for an undisclosed figure but the historic property was expected to fetch in excess of $40 million.
Mr Price, a former chairman of John Fairfax Holdings and Brierley Investments and a former Australian Wool Services chairman filed for bankruptcy in July last year, soon after the Four Arrows Group portfolio was listed for sale.
Four out of the six properties in the portfolio have now sold, with Binnowee Dairy at Wagga Wagga and Belvedere Almond Farm at Narrandera the only two left to sell.
