"The late Lloyd Gould was a giant of the timber harvesting and sawmilling industry as well as the Marysville and district community where he resided for most of his life," Pat Rice and Hawkins agent Matt Childs said.
"He commenced his timber business from very humble beginnings after World War II to become one of Victoria's most important value adders to timber and the businesses continue today under a new corporate owner."
Vic Oak (231ha) and Elliots (144ha) are to be sold separately.
Both properties front the Marysville-Buxton Rd and have Steavenson River frontage.
"These two holdings are a tribute to his enterprise and work," Matt said.
Vic Oak comprises improved high-carrying capacity pasture with an area of native timber country too.
There is a major environmental dam with a 45-megalitre water right plus the river frontage.
Vic Oak has impressive mountain views and there are several suitable house sites (subject to council approval).
Elliots adjoins Vic Oak and boasts fertile soils and a 390-megalitre water right.
It has an original, three-bedroom weatherboard home suitable for repair and renovation, ample shedding, stock proof fencing, cattle yards and reticulated stock water.
The land comprises river flats and gentle undulating country.
The properties are about 95km northeast of Melbourne.
