ALAN and Betty Renfree bought Kilburnie about 17 years ago.
During the Renfrees' ownership, Kilburnie has been used to breed Angus cattle and Merino sheep and also for some cropping.

Today, it is used to background heifers.
"It's a very versatile property," Alan said.
"We've set it up for intensive grazing. There's a good laneway system ... so for its size it's a very productive property. It's nicely laid out for whatever you want to do."
Kilburnie has several large dams and Hughes Creek frontage but Alan said a bore and the area's annual rainfall were enough to service the property.
The property is divided into 18 main paddocks and 46 cells.
The country is mostly undulating, with granitic, loam soils, and there is ample shelter for stock.
It also has some wetland areas that Alan and Betty have fenced off to protect native plants and wildlife.
Kilburnie's three-bedroom house has an open-plan design and a study that can serve as a fourth bedroom.
It has a full-length veranda overlooking the lawn and garden beds.
Additional features include a sunroom, formal lounge, two bathrooms, a double carport under the roofline of the house, a tennis court and a swimming pool.
Alan said Kilburnie was in a beautiful location, with a great local community.
'"The aesthetics of the property are pretty magnificent, with the trees, the hills and the wetlands," Alan said.
Working improvements include a three-stand woolshed, steel cattleyards with undercover crush and work area, laneway system and a machinery shed.
Kilburnie is 10km from Ruffy and about two hours' drive north-east of Melbourne.
