TWO Marysville holdings sold for a combined total of $3.45 million last week.

Vic Oak (231ha) sold for $1.2 million at auction on Friday to a Melbourne buyer, while Elliots (144ha) sold under the hammer for $2.25 million to a local buyer.

The two grazing properties were part of the late Lloyd Gould's estate. Mr Gould was a giant of the timber harvesting and sawmilling industry as well as the Marysville and district community.

Vic Oak and Elliots have Steavenson River frontage and substantial water rights.

Pat Rice and Hawkins selling agent Matt Childs said it was an excellent result.

"Both results were almost exactly in line with our pre-auction estimates," he said.

"They were simply unrepeatable opportunities scoring as both unique lifestyle and grazing enterprise holdings with few peers".
