"Where we live is a really quiet place," Sharon said.

"Because we're right on the Barmah Forest it's beautiful with all the trees and the wildlife.

"It's a really special spot."

Clonmel (259ha) and Forest View (162ha) are to be sold as a whole or separately.

Sharon and Russell run beef cattle on the properties and have 260ha sown down to wheat, barley and peas.

Clonmel and Forest View are located near the Broken Creek and both have rights to pump water from the creek to the farm.

Russell is a jack of all trades and is the owner of the Marlo Hotel in Gippsland, a farmer, a stock agent and a builder.

He built the beautiful double-storey three-bedroom home at Clonmel.

The home has open-plan living, dining and lounge areas downstairs, as well as a recycled red gum timber kitchen with Murray pine flooring.

A spectacular red gum staircase leads upstairs to the mezzanine parent's retreat, office and balcony.

"You can see the whole property from all angles of the house," Sharon said.

"It is quite nice to be able to look out at everything."

The properties have extensive numbers of native trees and an abundance of wildlife.

There are two 4ha covenants with Trust for Nature on Clonmel to help preserve some of the wildlife.

"It's a good mix of being able to get an income off the farm but also being in touch with nature," Sharon said.

"We've got three kids and it's a lovely place to grow up."

Clonmel and Forest View are only minutes from Barmah and 40km from Echuca.
