LONGWARRY Food Park has told suppliers its opening milk price for the new season will be $4.85 kg/MS.
That equated to 36.20 cents per litre on a weighted average, Longwarry milk supply manager Shane Murphy said.
He said the company was confident this year offered more promise than last year in relation to milk price and demand for its milk products around the world.
The markets still show a volatility that has been with us for some time now, Mr Murphy said.
"Constant review of market conditions will take place throughout the year and any improvement to be passed on."
