SHEEP breeders shivered through the second day of the National Sheep and Wool Show at Bendigo on Saturday.
Crowds swelled compared to Friday to see the broad sashes awarded.

At the 133th show, overall entries were up slightly, with 2255 sheep entered across the different breed classes (not including Alpacas and goats).
However Dorper numbers almost doubled compared to last years’ show with 232 entries across Dorper (black face) and White Dorper (white face) classes – 100 more than last year.
Proving that the breed has been taken up in NSW, three of the four main championship sashes went to NSW breeders.
In the Dorper classes AD&C Teskera’s Roslynmead at Echuca won the champion Dorper, while A Van Neikerk’s Dell Dorpers from Moama, NSW took out the champion ewe class.In the White Dorper classes A Van Neikerk was again successful, but this time with her Dumisa stud at Moama
M Gilmour’s Tattykeel stud at Oberon in NSW took home the champion ewe.
