FONTERRA has pushed its farm-gate milk price up to $4.83 per kilogram of milk solids (weighted average).
The increase of 24c/kg of butterfat and 60c/kg of protein for Victorian and Tasmanian suppliers, will be back-dated to the beginning of the season.
This announcement came after the NZ dairy giant completed its first Australian farm-gate milk price review for the season.
Fonterra told its suppliers last month that it would review prices every two months, after opening the season at $4.36kg/MS.
