A NEW cattle society aimed at lifting the profile and reach of the Salers breed in Australia has been formed.
The Salers Beef Cattle Society of Australia Inc aims to promote and develop the breed for its advantages in cross-breeding programs in Bos Taurus and Bos Indicus herds.

Banyenong West dispersal
THE first stage of the dispersal of the Banyenong West Poll Dorset stud will take place on August 20 at Donald.
Stud principal and Australian Sheep and Wool Show committee member Robyn Russell said the dispersal will give the family a chance to do "a few other things", with travelling high on the agenda.
Robyn was one of the organisers of the highly successful Women of Wool lunch at the show at Bendigo last week.
"There were about 220 ladies at lunch and Jean Kittson was fantastic," Robyn said.
