AUSTRALIAN riders enjoyed huge success at the Aachen International Five Star Show in Germany last weekend, the highest ranked show in the world.

All riders are vying for selection in the Australian teams for the World Equestrian Games in Kentucky, starting on September 25.

NSW South Coast dressage rider Brett Parbury was 10th in the grand prix freestyle, riding Victory Salute, scoring a super 73.17 per cent.

They were also 10th in the grand prix, scoring 70.36 per cent and 13th in the grand prix special, with 69.04 per cent.

West Australian Hayley Beresford was 28th in the grand prix, scoring 65.31 per cent, riding her 2008 Olympic horse Relampago De Retiro and fifth in the national grand prix freestyle, riding Ferra and scoring 62.65 per cent.

NSW rider Lyndal Oatley was 30th in the grand prix on Potfair, scoring 65.10 per cent.

Showjumper Edwina Alexander, from Glenhaven, was fifth in the 1.55m and 10th in the 1.50m classes on Cevo Itot du Chateau, jumping clear rounds.

Riding Cevo Socrates, she was 15th in the 1.50m jump-off class with four penalties for one rail down.

In the CIC Three Star Three Day Event, Paul Tapner was eighth, riding Stormhill Michael.
