Mr Packer said wheat plantings in the region had been expanded at the expense of barley and there were also reasonable plantings of canola, field peas, lentils and vetch.
"We have our business split between broadacre and horticulture and although the number of farmers is getting smaller, the customers left, and their orders, are getting bigger as the industry continues to rationalise," Mr Packer said.
"Family businesses are still our main customers, with corporates mostly involved in crops such as almonds and olives."
Mr Packer said there was no issue about brands or generics.
He said crop strategies meant if one product was not available, a suitable replacement could easily be found from his range of suppliers.
"There is no pressure about supply, or client orders, we are on track right where we expected to be after last season."
