KIOTI Daedong will celebrate its 10th anniversary in Australia next month.

The Kioti Daedong tractor range has grown considerably in the past decade and now comprises seven series with engine power from 16.4kW to 75kW.

In the past 12 months the brand has also grown to include ride-on mowers and side-by-side utility vehicles.

There has also been a name change from Daedong to Kioti Daedong as part of a corporate re-badging.

In the tractor range, the top-selling models are the DK551 and DS4510, according to Kioti Daedong product manager for Australia Stuart Phillips.

Stuart said their popularity was due to their ease of use and value for money.

"They are great all-round tractors," Stuart said.

The 40.3kW DK551 utility tractor is available in cabin or Roll Over Protection Structure versions and features a water-cooled Daedong diesel turbo engine.

The DK551's 12 by 12 synchronised transmission provides smooth shifting while the hydraulically-actuated clutch allows easy operation of the independent, rear power take-off.

The PTO has three selectable speeds - 540rpm, 750rpm and 1000rpm - to suit a variety of implements and attachments.

Stuart said the DK551 was a real workhorse.

"It's got push button four-wheel-drive and the category two rear linkages have a lift capacity of 1500kg," he said.

Two sets of hydraulic outlets are standard and the overall hydraulic flow rate is 62.4 litres a minute.

The DK551 also has an adjustable seat, tilting steering wheel and power steering.

The 4WD DS4510 ROPS tractor has a 33.6kW engine and is well suited to the lifestyle or hobby farmer market.

Its rear PTO has a 540rpm speed while the 8 by 8 constant mesh, shuttle transmission provides operating flexibility for power and ground speed.

It can be used with either backhoe or loader and has a rear linkage lift capacity of 1100kg.

The ROPS can be folded down for easy storage.
