DUTCH dressage champion Anky van Grunsven is back in top form.
After several months of injuries to her horses, the popular Dutch rider put on a display of her trademark "Queen of the Freestyle" at the Falsterbo Five Star Show in Sweden earlier this month.
Van Grunsven rode the stallion, IPS Painted Black, to victory in the Exquis World Dressage Masters Grand Prix Freestyle, scoring 82.40 per cent.
The versatile rider also joined the world-famous World Equestrian Festival in Aachen, Germany this month to show her palomino cutting horse, Wizashiningwalla, in the concert that traditionally opens the show.
Van Grunsven has successfully combined dressage and reining, pleasing her fans.
However, the recent injuries to her horses, including Olympic double champion Salinero, has meant she will not compete in the World Equestrian Games selection trials.
