VICTORIAN agribusiness is on a seasonal roll.

Primary producers recorded their best June-quarter performance according to this week's 15th Westpac and Charles Sturt University Agribusiness Index survey

"Victorian agribusiness as a whole has seen a steady improvement in performance in the past 12 months," Westpac state commercial and agribusiness general manager Rick Aylett said.

"The excellent result was entirely due to improvement in the producer sector results.

"Producers are responding to the best seasonal conditions in many years by investing in capital such as farm sheds and machinery," Mr Aylett said.
