A "DYNO shoot-out challenge" will be a feature of the fourth Cobram Swap Meet, planned for this Sunday at Cobram showgrounds.
The event, organised by the Rotary Club of Cobram, also incorporates an all-wheels show and shine.
The dyno challenge will be open to four, six and eight-cyclinder vehicles, plus an open section, competing in non-aspirated and forced induction classes.
A dyno challenge sees the rear wheels lifted on to a chassis dynometer, which calculates torque and engine power through an electronic retarder.
The exercise gives owners an accurate picture of their vehicles' power output.
The cost per entry is $45 and the challenge begins at 9am.
Event organiser Adrian Bennett said the swap meet was the biggest market day in the Cobram-Barooga area, with more than 2000 people attending last year.
"Sites sell parts, collectables, antiques, produce, homewares and literature," Adrian said.
Outdoor sites cost $10 and indoor $20.
Judges for the show and shine will be David and Gary Bordignon, of Cobram, both vehicle restorers and speedway competitors.
