THE best 24-hour snowfalls in at least 15 years are set to deliver a super September on Victoria's ski fields.
This month's snowfall figures are already rivalling records thanks to an overnight dump on Thursday, with resorts pulling out all stops to lure visitors, the Herald Sun reports.

It is a big finish for a buoyant season that has already seen more than 550,000 visitors on Victoria's slopes, up almost 20 per cent on the 10-year average.
Falls Creek received its biggest 24-hour dump in almost 20 years, with 54cm of fresh snow at 6am yesterday.
Falls Creek spokesman Ian Talbot said it couldn't have been better timed for the 5000-bed resort, which is offering cheap learn-to-ski packages next month.
"It sets us up for September - probably one of the best Septembers we will ever have," Mr Talbot said.
