ANOTHER slice of failed managed investment company Great Southern has been sold.

Moola Bulla Station, in Western Australia's Kimberley region, has sold for about $20 million - after being passed in for $25 million last year.

Elders Real Estate's Queensland manager, John Burke, said the property, which came with 25,000 cattle, sold to former part-owner South African Western Australian Pastoral Company, which also owns Beefwood Park Station at Fitzroy Crossing.

He said it was a good result, which reflected the market.

"It came with 7000 fewer cattle than when it was auctioned (and) the other negative was the destocking of the pastoral board," he said.

"There is still good demand for station country - we had 14 solid inquires for Moola Bulla from here and overseas - with a lot of corporate interest right now.

"We are also in negotiations for Australian Agricultural Company's Brighton Downs, in Queensland's Channel country.

"It has 454,500ha and is carrying 7500 cattle."
