QUEEN Elizabeth Oval's $2.2 million redevelopment will be officially opened June 11 before the South Bendigo and Sandhurst match.
The project resurfaced and reshaped the ground created terraced seating at the Barnard St end and removed asbestos from the grandstand.
Greater Bendigo chief executive Craig Niemann said most home games involving South Bendigo, Sandhurst, Bendigo Bombers and Bendigo Pioneers would go head at the ground but conceded some games would be moved to protect the new turf.
"It must be remembered that this is a brand new surface and while it's safe to play on we do need to manage it well by putting in place measures to protect the surface while it's still establishing," Mr Niemann said.
