CHERYL Luttgens had coveted Tindarra Homestead for years before she and husband Joe bought it five years ago.

"We've got about 40 cattle on the property at the moment and about a dozen alpacas," Cheryl said.

"It's very good grass here and we've got beautiful views right across the Dandenong Ranges."

Cheryl said the property was also only about 10 minutes from Lilydale.

"We're very sad to be leaving it's just that we're in our late 60s and it's time to downsize," she said.

"We've been in the Yarra Valley all of our lives and you'd be hard pressed to find anywhere nicer."
