THIS year's Fishing and Boating Expo is definitely one for the dads.

Held across this Father's Day weekend at the Melbourne Showgrounds, the expo unites experienced anglers, chefs and footy stars under the one roof.

In collaboration with the National 4x4 and Outdoors Expo this year, the event will feature a mixture of new products, tips and interactive equipment displays.

Visitors can make their way to the various 3AW fishing stage sessions to pick up tips from the experts.

On Friday from 5.30pm, 3AW Fishing Show hosts Paul Worsteling and David Kramer will join Will Minson of the Western Bulldogs and Will Thursfield from Richmond to chat about their favourite local fishing destinations and the top species to catch.

On Saturday and Sunday from 12.30pm, Catch and Cook TV hosts Ron Smith and Tony Curulli will prepare some of their favourite dishes live on the 3AW fishing stage.

Exhibitors, including the Yak Factory, Capacity Sports, Anaconda and Wild Outdoors, will display kayaks and kayak fishing accessories.

There will be numerous boat retailers at the event, including the Port Phillip Boating Centre, New World Honda Marine, Regal Marine, Sunsetter Pontoon Boats and Evolution Boats.
