ONE man is dead and three others are injured following separate accidents in regional Queensland.
In Normanton, 145km west of Croydon in the state's far north, a 59-year-old NSW man died after two motorbikes collided after trying to avoid a ute.
Police say three motorcyclists were travelling together on the Normanton-Croydon Road, about 30km east of Normanton, about 2pm, when two of the riders manourvered to avoid crashing into the ute at the Broadwater Station turn-off.
The first rider, the 59-year-old, lost control of his bike and fell before the second rider, a 49-year-old man, crashed into him.
The 59-year-old died at the scene.
The 49-year-old also fell and was taken to the Normanton Hospital by paramedics with minor leg injuries.
The forensic crash unit were continuing investigations.
Meanwhile, two men were last night being air-lifted to the Mackay Base Hospital after they were thrown from their car when it rolled in Burton, around 163km west of Mackay.
A spokeswoman for the Queensland Ambulance Service said emergency crews were called to the accident on the Suttor Developmental Road, Burton, about 10.15pm, where the vehicle had overturned.
Both men were reported to be conscious.
No other vehicles were involved in the accident.
A rescue helicopter was dispatched from Mackay to take the men to hospital.
In southeast Queensland, a 24-year-old woman was last night being taken to the Nambour General Hospital with multiple injuries after her car slammed into a wall.
A spokeswoman for the Queensland Ambulance Service said paramedics were called to Maroochydore Road, Maroochydore, about 11.25pm were the woman had crashed into a brick wall.
She was last night in a stable condition but suffered a fractured left wrist and unknown lower limb injuries, including a possible fracture to her left leg.
