A RESOLUTION to wind up Meat and Livestock Australia will be voted upon at the group's annual general meeting in November.
MLA members will also be asked to vote on three new board director nominees after chairman Don Heatley and directors Peter Boyden and Grant Burbidge retire.
The nominees include Dr Michele Allan, Queensland cattle producer Geoff Maynard and NSW sheep producer Rodney Watt.
Members will also consider a special resolution put forward by a group of members to wind up the company.
A similar resolution was defeated at last year's AGM.
MLA chairman Don Heatley said it was disappointing members had been asked to vote again on wounding up the group but everyone had a right to propose resolutions.
All MLA members have a single vote but to receive full voting entitlements they need to return their completed levies notice or lodge their levies on online by October 5.
The meeting is in Longreach on November 17.
