AFL Draft expert Kevin Sheehan has named 10 country Victorian footballers in his annual list of 30 top draft prospects.
Sheehan, the AFL's national and international talent manager, said all players in his top 30 had "excellent chances of having exciting careers".
Regional TAC Cup teams Geelong Falcons and Gippsland Power each has two players on Sheehan's list, while the North Ballarat Rebels has one.
The remaining five country players represented Dandenong Stingrays and Calder Cannons in the TAC Cup.
Small midfielder Taylor Adams, from St Joseph's in the Geelong Football League, was the first player named on Sheehan's alphabetical list.
Sheehan said Adams was a clean ball-handler and had the "footy nous to win the ball in contested situations".
Geelong Falcons teammate Devon Smith, from Lara, also made the top 30.
Sheehan said the small forward/midfielder had great pace and agility and was "dynamic near goal".
Gippsland Power defender Sam Docherty, from Phillip Island in the Alberton Football League, was described as having a "penetrating kick and dash from defence".
Another Gippsland export, Clay Smith, from Lucknow in the East Gippsland league, was praised by Sheehan for his insatiable desire to win the footy.
Sheehan said the midfielder was "a hard-edged, tough and durable left-footer with a great appetite for the contest".
Midfielder Sebastian Ross, a cousin of Essendon's Jobe Watson, was the sole North Ballarat Rebels player to make Sheehan's list.
Hailing from the Horsham Demons in the Wimmera league, Ross was highlighted for his contested ball-winning ability and clean hands.
Dandenong Stingrays players Matthew Buntine (medium defender, Berwick), Todd Elton (ruckman/tall forward, Somerville) and Nick Haynes (tall-medium midfielder/forward, Somerville) all hail from Mornington Peninsula Nepean league clubs and represented Vic Country in the AFL Under-18 Championships.
Calder Cannons players Daniel Markworth (tall forward, Macedon) and Tom Sheridan (medium midfielder, Riddells Creek) both hail from country clubs playing in the metropolitan Riddell and District Football League.
The AFL Draft will be held on November 24 at the Sydney Olympic Park Sports Centre.
This year marks only the third time in the 2- year history of the draft where the event has been held outside Victoria.
