SUPPORT for a petition to add a status quo option to the Dairy Australia levy vote ballot paper is growing.
About 60 Victorian dairy farmers have signed the petition started by Nullawarre farmers Michael and Shirley Spitse.

Mr Spitse said he would present the petition at Dairy Australia's AGM on Friday.
"We'll deliver the petition and ask the board questions," Mr Spitse said. "I will try and go as far as I can to see if they will consider it.
"Most farmers who are hearing about it (the petition) are more than prepared to sign it and share the same view."
Dairy Australia distributed a letter to levy payers last month outlining three voting options - no levy, a 10-per-cent increase and a 15-per-cent increase.
Australian Dairy Farmers president Chris Griffin, chairman of the Dairy Levy Poll Advisory Committee, told The Weekly Times last week it was a "purely hypothetical question" when asked if a petition could force another option on the ballot.
