THE central Victorian town of Woodend now has its own farmers' market.

The first market was held on Saturday and featured locally produced pork, beef, lamb, olives and olive oil, eggs, bread, honey, wine, seasonal fruit and vegetables, preserves and more.

The market is accredited with the Victorian Farmers' Market Association, and completes a monthly circuit for farmers in the Macedon Ranges area, joining Lancefield, Riddels Creek and Kyneton.

The market runs on the first Saturday of the month.
