THE latest automotive technology, combined with futuristic design, was on display at the 42nd Tokyo Motor Show.
The vehicles were part of the show's Smart Mobility City 2011 project, where organisers asked car-makers to use the latest technology linking cars, cities, and lifestyles.
The motor show was embraced by all 14 members of the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association.
Fifty-three world premiere models were on show from among the 15 Japanese and 25 overseas brands represented, including passenger and commercial vehicles.
A total of 842,600 people visited the show over 10 days at the Tokyo Big Sight in Ariake, Koto-ku.
