NINE more bush footy competitions have signed to the Victorian Country Football League's interleague program next year.

The additions have swelled the VCFL Country Championships to a 32-team competition, up from 20 this year.

Mornington Peninsula Nepean Football League will field three teams in next year's championships - one full-strength team selected from all three of its competitions, along with separate teams representing the Casey Cardinia and Nepean competitions.

The main MPFNL team will meet champion Goulburn Valley in the title match next year.

Interleague newcomer Picola and District will field two teams - north and south.

Other leagues to join the rankings-based championships include Kyabram, Alberton, Mid Gippsland, Ellinbank, Central Highlands, Ovens and King, Loddon Valley and Maryborough-Castlemaine.

The VCFL Country Championships will be held on May 26-27.

Meanwhile, the Ballarat Football League has announced Red Onion Creative, a design, marketing and publishing company, as its naming rights sponsor for five years.

Ballarat league chief executive Rod Ward said the deal was worth more than $300,000.
